February 8 was the day! Ella-Marie had been counting down to it for a good month and finally it was her birthday!
And what a great one!
The day started with a singing sister, who came to proudly
present her homemade card! Ella-Marie's class made it a fun morning
by singing songs and celebrating her.
How many birthday wishes we received! WhatsApp, Outlook, Messenger,
Snapchat, . all the programs were almost in overload because they
knew it was Ella-Marie's big birthday!
Messages were sent from all over Europe (and actually even beyond).
They made sure that Ella-Marie was smiling all the time. :-)
Belgian fries, Belgian fries and... Belgian fries
On Wednesday itself, Omi and Opi and Simonne came to visit. They had delicious pistolets with them. And of course, grandparents wouldn't be grandparents if they didn't bring way too many presents. From one parcel to another and nibbling in the meantime. Then the big news was yet to come, as Ella-Marie and Olivia were taken to a waffle, pancake and ice cream bar. After the delicious food and drink, it was then time for the physiotherapist. And yep. you guessed it: Griet from Akketuut had prepared a beautiful balloon and together they sang songs!
After work, it was then up to us to bring out the spoils. You may remember from the previous blog: a word given is a word kept! The new McDonalds drive-in in Lier got us over for the first time.It would be the first day of the fries marathon. Quick bite to eat and then on to dance class!
Dancing for Ella-Marie
The lovely children from Ella-Marie's dance class made it an extra fun party. Teacher Wendy had provided a special dance to celebrate Ella-Marie. For us, it was an hour of enjoying happy dance moves and seeing an extra big smile on our daughter's face.
Part 2 of the marathon
On Friday, the other side of the family came over. Grandma and Grandpa had already provided a nice vlogging device and, of course, had some extras with them. Because you know. grandparents aren't grandparents if they can't spoil their grandchildren! :-) Aunt Katrijn had brought super delicious cupcakes and the nieces came to cuddle and sing. On the menu that night? Belgian fries! How Ella-Marie maintains such a line, we hardly understand. But one thing is certain: if they are ever looking for a real Belgian, they need look no further. They have found the Uberfries lover! :-)
On Saturday, meter Kris stopped by. Out of honest shame, we just provided some healthy food. A nice drink and snack later, it was already time to get ready for the night, because Sunday was a big skate party!
Skating with the friends
We had rented the skating rink for an hour. A nice concept,
especially the parents are very happy to have the children in one
big defined place. Both Olivia and Ella-Marie had invited 14
friends each and together with some parents an hour was skated with
some disco lights and music in the background.
After skating, it was one last time for .... fries and meats.
Everyone was super bright and we had a great time!
This birthday was really one to enjoy!
